Brief introduction of the speaker: Guoqing Zhang is a professor in the School of Engineering and the director of the Supply Chain and Logistics Optimization Research Centre at the University of Windsor, Canada. His research interests include supply chain management and logistics optimization, optimization algorithms, intelligent manufacturing, intelligent decision support systems, etc. His research work has always been funded by the National Science and Engineering Foundation of Canada and the New Opportunities Award of the National Innovation Foundation of Canada. He has published more than 50 papers in Operations Research, Omega, EJOR, IIE, TRE and other international journals, and serves on the editorial board of several international journals. He has developed high performance large-scale linear programming software and provided consulting services to several internationally renowned companies. The Air Canada project which he undertook won the first prize of the 2015 Canadian Society of Operations Research for Outstanding Applications.
